Access & atmosphere
NPS reports a 0.7-mile uphill route from parking, with an on-call shuttle during 9am–5pm subject to staff availability and possible waits. A one-person wheelchair lift reaches the main house floor; the third floor requires stairs. Call 828-707-8125 for route assistance.
